GAYO ROBUSTA
Gayo Robusta Coffee is a variety of Robusta coffee grown in the Gayo Highlands of Aceh, Indonesia. This region is traditionally known for its rich coffee culture and ideal growing conditions, including fertile volcanic soil, high humidity, and consistent rainfall.
Unlike Arabica, Robusta coffee plants are more resilient and produce beans with higher caffeine content. Gayo Robusta typically has a bold flavor profile, with earthy and woody notes, and a strong, slightly bitter aftertaste. It is often appreciated for its full body and deep aroma.
Farmers in the Gayo region apply traditional and environmentally friendly farming practices, which contribute to the unique taste and growing reputation of Gayo Robusta on the global market. While it may not be as globally recognized as Gayo Arabica, Gayo Robusta is gaining attention for its quality and distinct regional character.
